Consolidated Buying Company - Chicago

Consolidated Buying Company (CBC) is the biggest and best buying group for fuel-selling convenience stores and auto dealerships. The problem is that people don’t trust buying groups. So we went the other way with it and created some completely honest ads, brocures and a corporate website that emphasized trust. The best part...their members really do trust CBC. The website features a set of ad-specific landing pages that track response. The campaign just launched, so there’s no metrics just yet.

One of my favorite things about this branding/marketing project is that CBC has actually begun to adopt some of the behind-the-scenes recommendations that we gave them throughout the process. They're beginning to expand beyond administrative rebate processing by providing educational opportunities, back-office services and other new lines to their members. Very cool of them.

The agency is Meyers + Partners, and Jim Gasper did the Creative Direction, I worked with Michael Meyers on the branding stuff, and Eric Bryning wrote the ads.
