Sharing Art

Bristol, on my Flickr

I did this last night and I really like it. It’s Sharpie on paper and then I scanned it in and Live Traced it in Illustrator. Live Trace is about the coolest thing ever. You can see how cool it is by looking at it full size (click here). I did it from a picture of my ex-girlfriend that I found online at cobrasnake. All the art I have online is in this set on Flickr: Art that I did.

May I offer another post?

I really love it! I have a tee shirt with an image similar to that and I’ve been trying to replicate it for years. Live Trace…who knew? Well…you did! Beautiful work.

    Stacy -

Thanks! Yeah, the process is to draw it on some nice vellum with a new sharpie. Then scan that mutha’ in and throw the Live Trace on it and you’re good. Then you can play with the paths and stuff. Glad you liked it. If you want me to do a picture that you’ve got, send it along.
