Geo Map Location, I love thee

Interesting locations from Google Analytics today:

Donna, Texas. Tampico, Mexico. Pozo Hondo and Medellin (9), Colombia. Dieppe, Canada. Quintinha, Portugal. Uppsala, Sweden. Saint-Ouen, France. Kuttigen, Switzerland. Srpska, Bosnia and Herzigovina. Hengelo, Netherlands. Bucharest, Romania (5). Ruwi, Oman. Dubai, UAE. Paharganj and Madras (7), India. Sunshine, Australia.

Bangkok, Thailand loves my blog more than any other Non-US city, according to its 13 visits in the last week. Then comes Medellin… Madras is next with 7 and then Bucharest.

So…much love to those of you in Bangkok, Medellin, Madras and Bucharest!

Quick question. Who is out there in Tyler, Texas?

I’d also like to buy a few vowels for my new friends in Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Speaking of, I’ve heard that Sarajevo is amazing and as-yet not inundated with tourists. I’d like to go there.

So basically I’m amazed that there is a person in each one of the places listed above that’s actually looked at this page. I’m sure many of them will never return or read a single word here, but nevertheless I continue to be awed by Google Analytics’ Geo Map Location.

    hi there,

    just a quick note. there is no such place as srpska in bosnia and herzegovina. bosnia and herzegovina consists of two entities: republika srpska and the federation of bosnia and herzegovina. these two entities are not places but administrative regions consisting of many hundreds of places.

    Thanks…will make an edit. Just going off what Google maps showed me! I love finding out new things about geopolitics…so again, thanks. No matter what I’m still buying some vowels for everyone in the administrative region.

    9 times!!!… Oh man, I came to much to your blog lately. But hey, at least I’m putting my city in the map, yeah! By the way Clay, how did you found out this? Could you give me a hint? I would like to be able to identify where my visitors come from. Thanks.

    My man, you gotta install Google Analytics!

    Not sure how you do it on a WordPress.com blog (this blog is run off my own instance of WP software installed on my server)… but it should be pretty easy. Go to http://www.google.com/analytics/ and you should be able to get off to a good start. Let me know if you have any troubles!

    I’m usually at the office when I’m doing personal stuff on the internet! My location should show as Houston.
