Northerly Island is a great concert venue. I saw the Chicago/Huey Lewis twin bill there at the beginning of July. Hard to beat the Chicago skyline as a backdrop for such great music on a summer’s night.
It’s unbelievable! I’ll definitely be on the lookout for more concerts there next year. Since I’m not exactly a native Chicagoan, I don’t have any nostalgia for Miegs Field. I’m perfectly fine with it being a concert venue.
